Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern the freight and logistics services provided by DNS Logistics. Please read them carefully before engaging our services.

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all freight, transportation, and allied logistics services provided by DNS Logistics Pvt. Ltd. (“DNS”, “we”, “us”). By booking a shipment, requesting a quotation, or otherwise engaging our services, you (the “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. Definitions

  • “Consignment” means goods tendered to DNS for carriage under a single docket or AWB.
  • “Docket / AWB” means the unique reference number issued for a consignment.
  • “SLA” means the service-level commitment agreed in writing for a given lane or service.
  • “Services” means Express PTL, Air Express, JIT, Express Railway, International Freight, and any allied services.

3. Scope of Services

DNS provides business-to-business (B2B) freight and logistics services to industrial manufacturers across India. Services are offered subject to capacity, lane availability, and the specifications confirmed at the time of booking. DNS does not carry consumer or personal-effects shipments.

4. Bookings & Quotations

Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quote and are based on the cargo description, weight, dimensions, and lane provided by the Customer. DNS reserves the right to re-weigh, re-measure, and re-rate any consignment where the actuals differ from those declared. A booking is confirmed only upon issuance of a docket or AWB number.

5. Rates, Charges & Payment

Charges are calculated on actual or volumetric weight (whichever is higher), applicable surcharges, statutory taxes, and any value-added services. Invoices are payable within the credit terms agreed in writing, failing which DNS may suspend services and levy interest on overdue amounts. All rates are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

6. Pickup, Transit & Delivery

Transit times are estimates based on normal operating conditions and, where applicable, the agreed SLA. While DNS operates with zero-cutoff dispatch and 24×7 support, delivery times may be affected by factors outside our control. Proof of Delivery (POD) is captured for every consignment and is available on request or via shipment tracking.

7. Documentation & Compliance

The Customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete documentation, including valid GST details, E-way bills, invoices, and any permits required for movement of goods. DNS is not liable for delays, penalties, or detention arising from incorrect, incomplete, or missing documentation provided by the Customer.

8. Prohibited & Restricted Goods

The Customer shall not tender any goods that are illegal, hazardous, or restricted under applicable law without prior written agreement and proper declaration. DNS reserves the right to refuse, hold, or return any consignment found to contain prohibited or undeclared dangerous goods, at the Customer's cost.

9. Liability & Limitation

DNS's liability for loss of or damage to a consignment is limited to the extent agreed in the applicable contract or SLA, or as prescribed under the Carriage by Road Act, 2007 and allied legislation, whichever applies. DNS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profit, production downtime, or business opportunity.

10. Claims & Insurance

Claims for loss or damage must be notified in writing within the timelines specified in the applicable contract, accompanied by supporting documentation. Goods are not insured by DNS unless transit insurance is expressly arranged and confirmed in writing. We strongly recommend Customers insure high-value consignments.

11. Force Majeure

DNS shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural calamities, strikes, civil unrest, regulatory action, road or airport closures, or disruptions to transport infrastructure.

12. Confidentiality

Each party shall keep confidential any non-public information disclosed in the course of the engagement and use it solely for the purpose of providing or receiving the Services.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

14. Amendments

DNS may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of booking shall apply to that engagement. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the prevailing Terms.
